About B.S. Kalsi Furniture Works – Furniture in Moga
Our workshop is right on Akalsar Road, and if you walk by, you’ll probably hear the sound of saws or hammers before you even see the sign. B.S. Kalsi Furniture Works has been a part of this street for a long time. It’s a busy place with a lot of sawdust on the floor, no matter how much we sweep it up. We spend most of our days working with our hands, putting together tables, chairs, and whatever else people ask us to make. It’s not a showroom with bright lights and fancy carpets. It’s a real working shop where we get our hands dirty. Sometimes the wood is stubborn, or a tool breaks, and we just have to figure it out as we go. We’ve got a couple of regular guys who have been here for years, and we all just know our roles. Customers come in and talk to us directly about what they need, and we write it down on whatever scrap of paper is handy. There isn't a lot of ceremony to it. We just look at the wood, figure out the cuts, and get to work. When the sun starts to go down, we start packing up the tools and cleaning up the bigger messes. It’s a good kind of tired at the end of the day. Akalsar Road is a noisy place, but it’s home to us and the work we do. We just keep building things one piece at a time.
