Swadhaar Micro Credit Foundation

Swadhaar Micro Credit Foundation is located in Mirzapur, right near the Dehat Kotwali in the Ramaipati area. It’s a busy spot near the police station. We’ve been at this address for a while now. The building is nothing special to look at, just a regular brick and mortar place. Inside, we keep things simple. There are files everywhere because we haven't quite moved everything to computers yet. It’s a bit old-fashioned, but it works for us and the people who come to see us. We spend a lot of time on the phone or just listening to stories from folks in the neighborhood. Mirzapur has a lot of small shops and traders, and they are usually the ones we see the most. We don't have a receptionist, so whoever is closest to the door usually says hello. Sometimes it’s a bit noisy with the street traffic right outside, but you get used to it after a week or two. We don’t have a website that we update much, or any of those modern things. We just prefer to talk face to face. It’s more honest that way. The office is a bit small, and it gets hot in the afternoons, but we manage. We just keep our heads down and try to stay on top of the work as it comes in.
