Rock & Roller Earthmovers

You’ll find us over on Station Road in the village of Majhawa, within the Majhawa Block of Mirzapur District. We are situated very close to the Roadways Bus Stand, which is a real hub of activity for the whole area. Having the earthmovers parked out here means we need a good amount of space, and the ground is always a bit torn up from the heavy tracks and tires. It’s a rural setting, so things move a bit slower than in the big cities, but when the buses arrive, the whole place wakes up with people moving everywhere. Our office is a small building right on the edge of the lot. Inside, there are maps of the local district and some old chairs for visitors. The dust from the station road is constant, especially when the big buses pull out, but we’ve grown to like the rhythm of it. We spend our days checking the hydraulics and making sure the engines are sounding right. It’s heavy work, and our clothes are usually covered in red Mirzapur dirt by lunchtime. We don't have any corporate slogans; we just have our machines and the work that needs doing in the fields or on the roads. It’s a practical life out here near the bus stand. We watch the seasons change from our front door and keep the equipment ready for whatever job comes next.
