Nath Superstore

Nath Superstore is located on Chunar Road. We’re right in the Awaleshpur area, not far from Saurav Vihar Colony. It’s a good spot because a lot of people live nearby. The store isn't one of those giant malls you see in the city. It’s a local place where we stock what people actually need. We spend a lot of time stocking the shelves and making sure things are in the right place. It gets a bit messy when a big delivery comes in. Boxes end up in the aisles for a few hours. We try to keep it clean, but it’s a working store. The air conditioning is a bit temperamental, so it’s either freezing or a bit warm. We know most of the families from the colony. They come in for their daily bits and pieces. We have a small counter where we handle the cash. The registers are old but they still work fine. Sometimes we stay open a little later if someone calls and says they’re running late. It’s just part of being in the neighborhood. We’ve been on Chunar Road for a long time. My dad started this and now I’m the one looking after it. It’s a lot of standing on your feet all day. We just try to keep the shelves full and the lights bright enough to see. Sometimes we run out of things, but we get them back in soon. It’s a busy life but we enjoy seeing our neighbors.
