Our office is run by Kalpana Dubey and we are situated on Pilikothi Kachahari Road in Mirzapur. Being near the kachahari or the court area means there are always a lot of people moving around outside. It can be quite noisy with the rickshaws and people shouting, but once you step inside our place, it’s a bit calmer. We have 231001 as our postal code if you’re looking for us. The office is pretty simple. We have a counter where people come to talk to us and a couple of desks in the back. I spend a lot of time looking out the window at the street while I'm waiting for documents to print. We handle things for people around Mirzapur who need a place to put their savings. We aren't a big bank with a hundred branches. We just have this one spot. We try to be honest and do our work without making any mistakes. Sometimes we stay late to finish the monthly reports. It’s just part of the job. There isn't any fancy coffee machine here, just a kettle for making tea. We like it that way because it keeps things easy. People know they can come in and they won't be treated like just another number. We know their names and their families. It’s a local way of doing things. We just try to keep it all moving forward. It is a busy area but we like it well enough.
