Venkanna Vankudothu

I stay out in Samegani Thanda, which is a part of Thungapahad village in the Miryalaguda area. My address is H. No. 5-59 and it is a pretty quiet place compared to the big cities. Life here in Nalgonda district moves at a different pace than what you see in the papers. Most of my days are spent working around the village or traveling into Miryalaguda for supplies and work. Venkanna Vankudothu is just me, and I handle my own affairs from the house. There is a lot of greenery around here, but the summers get very dry and hot. You have to be used to the sun if you want to get anything done in the fields or on the road. I have lived here for most of my life, so I know everyone in the Thanda by name. We do not have big offices or fancy setups; we just work with what we have and keep things moving. Sometimes I have to travel quite a bit for my work, taking the local roads that can be a bit bumpy after the heavy rains. It is a humble existence, focusing on the day-to-day tasks that need finishing. If you are looking for me, you just ask anyone in Thungapahad for house 5-59. We all help each other out in this part of the state. The air is better here than in the town, even if life is a bit slower.
