Sweet Steel

Up here in Ashok Bhawan, at room 104, things stay pretty busy. We are right near the Amrita Hotel in Bhayander East, which makes it easy to explain our location to anyone coming over. The B P Navghar Cross Road is always a mess of traffic, so you hear horns honking all day long. Sweet Steel is basically a place where we handle a lot of metal talk and paperwork. The office isn't very big, and we have files stacked up in the corners because there never seems to be enough shelf space. Being in Bhayander, you get used to the crowds and the humidity. We usually grab tea from the stall downstairs near the hotel when we need a break. The building itself is old, but it works for what we do. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking the latest weights and prices for the steel bits we handle. It’s not the kind of job that looks clean; our hands usually have some grime or dust on them by lunchtime. There is a specific rhythm to the day here. We start early before the heat gets too bad, and we usually stay late to make sure the day's tasks are finished. It’s just us doing the work, day in and day out, without any big fuss or complicated systems. Just a local spot in a busy part of town trying to stay organized.
