You’ll find A G Mehta & Co on the first floor of the Panchratna building in Bhayander East. We are situated right above the National Dairy, which is a very easy landmark for anyone coming by. Since we are directly opposite the railway station, there’s a constant stream of people and the sound of trains coming and going all day long. It’s a very lively and noisy spot. Our office isn't particularly large, but it’s enough for the work we do. We have the usual setup with old wooden desks and some metal filing cabinets that have seen better days. The floor is tiled and fairly easy to keep clean, which is good because of all the dust that comes in from the station side. We’ve been here long enough that we know the train schedules just by the sound of the announcements over the speakers. Our work involves a lot of paperwork and meetings with people who drop in after getting off their train. It can get quite hot in the afternoons, so the fans are always on full blast to keep the air moving. We keep things simple here. There are no fancy decorations on the walls, just some old calendars and maybe a clock that’s always a few minutes fast. It’s a practical place to work and it suits our needs. We spend our time checking numbers and filing things away. It’s a bit loud with the trains, but we like being right where everyone passes through.
