Harsha Industries

Harsha Industries is out on 62, Gummidipoondi Road in Madharpakkam. If you are driving down that way, you know the road can get pretty dusty when the trucks go by. Our building is right there, nothing too special to look at from the outside. We’ve got a sign up, but the sun has faded it a bit over the years. Inside, it’s mostly just the sounds of the machines and people talking over the noise. Madharpakkam is a decent enough area for this kind of thing, though the commute can be a bit of a pain if the traffic on Gummidipoondi Road is backed up, which happens more than I’d like. We have a small yard area where we keep some materials, and there is always a layer of dust on everything no matter how much we sweep. The roof gets quite hot in the summer, so we have a few fans going all day to keep the air moving. It’s a plain place, really. We don’t have fancy carpets or a receptionist. Usually, whoever is closest to the door is the one who says hello. We just focus on the daily tasks and try to stay organized, even if the office feels a bit cramped with all the files and ledgers we have piled up. It is just a regular shop where we do our business day in and day out. Anyway, it’s home for us for most of the week.
