Lokenath Pearl Center

Lokenath Pearl Center is our small shop down in Mandarmani. We are specifically located in the Dadanpatrabar area, which is part of Purba Medinipur. Being near the coast means we see a lot of people passing through, especially during the weekends. We deal with pearls and related items. It's a quiet life for the most part, except when the tourist season kicks in. The shop isn't anything spectacular, just a basic room with our stock on display. We’ve been here for a while and the salt air is just part of the job. Most of the people around here know us. We don't spend money on big signs or anything. We just open up in the morning and wait for whoever comes by. Purba Medinipur is a nice place to live and work. Sometimes the weather gets a bit rough being so close to the sea, but you get used to it. We keep our inventory in glass cases and try to keep the dust off them. It's a lot of manual work, checking each piece and making sure it's okay. We don't have a website or anything fancy. People just drop in when they are visiting Mandarmani. It’s a simple way to make a living. We have our regulars and then some strangers who are just curious. We don't promise anything other than showing what we have on the shelves. It's just how we do things here in Dadanpatrabar, day in and day out.
