HAZRA ENTERPRISE

HAZRA ENTERPRISE is based on Nepalipara Road in Ashokngar, within the Paschim Midnapur district. It is a relatively quiet part of the region compared to the busier towns nearby. Our building is not very large or impressive. We have a small sign hanging out front so people can find us among the other houses. The road can get extremely dusty when it has not rained for a while. We spend a lot of time watching bicycles and rickshaws pass by the window. Inside, the floor is made of old stone, which helps keep the place cool during the hot summer days. We have a few simple desks and some metal filing cabinets that have been here for a long time. The drawers often get stuck, but we have a trick for wiggling them open. It is a very local operation. Most of us live in the nearby streets, so we usually just walk or ride a cycle to the office. We start the day early and take a long break in the afternoon when it gets too hot. There is a large tree across the road that provides a lot of shade. Sometimes we stand outside for a bit of fresh air. The work is mostly handling paperwork and talking with local clients who stop by. We don't have fancy computers or technology here. Just a couple of old machines and a phone that rings quite often. It is a simple way to make a living and we know most of our neighbors.
