Deva Arts

Down here in Midnapur, specifically in the Kshudiram Nagar area, you’ll find us at Deva Arts. It’s a quiet corner of Paschim Medinipur, and we like it that way. The studio isn't much to look at from the outside, just a plain building, but inside it’s a different story. We have canvases and paints and half-finished pieces leaning against almost every wall. The light is okay during the day, but we really need the lamps once the sun starts to go down. We’ve been here for a while, and the locals know us as the people who are always covered in some kind of paint. The humidity can be a real problem for the drying times, so we spend a lot of time just waiting for things to set. We don't have a fancy gallery or anything like that. If someone wants to see what we’re doing, they just walk in and we show them whatever is on the easel. It’s a simple life, really. We spend our days trying to get the colors right and making sure the brushes are clean. Sometimes we run out of supplies and have to wait for a delivery from the city. It’s just us doing our work, day in and day out, without much fuss. It’s not a big corporate operation, just a small art space.
