We are tucked away in Manpur, over in the Mhow area of Indore district. The shop is quite close to the Forest Dipo, which is a good landmark if you’re looking for us. At Pawar Building Suppliers, we keep a bit of everything that someone might need to fix up a house or build something new. It’s a family-run kind of thing. My uncle started it, and now we all pitch in. The yard has sand, gravel, and various other bits piled up. It gets a bit messy, especially when several deliveries arrive at once. We don't really have a set way of doing things, we just help whoever walks in. Sometimes we spend the whole morning just loading up a single tractor. The air out here near the forest area is a bit better than in the city. We have a lot of regulars from the surrounding villages who’ve been coming to us for years. We don't use computers much; most things are written down in the ledger. It works for us. If the weather is bad, we just huddle in the small office and wait for it to pass. It’s a basic operation, nothing too fancy. We just try to make sure we have what people are asking for. Usually, we close up when it gets dark because the lights out here aren't the best. It’s just how we’ve always done it since we opened the gates.
