Yd Earth Movers

Our place, Yd Earth Movers, is tucked away at number 25 in P.G. Nagar. If you know Metturdam, you know it can get pretty warm in the afternoons. The yard where we keep the machinery is usually full of red dirt and grease. It’s not the cleanest looking spot, but that is how earth moving goes. You can’t really keep things shiny when you’re dealing with the kind of work we do. I spend a lot of my time out there checking on the equipment or talking to the guys about what needs fixing. We’ve been at this address for a good stretch of time. The neighbors in P.G. Nagar are used to the sound of engines starting up early in the morning. Sometimes we get a bit of a crowd if one of the bigger machines is being moved out. The office is just a small room with a calendar from three years ago still hanging on the wall because nobody bothered to take it down. We drink a lot of tea while we wait for calls. It’s not a fast-paced corporate life here. We take things as they come. If a machine breaks, we fix it. If someone needs something moved, we see if we can get it done. It’s just us doing what we know how to do without much fuss. We don't have any big slogans or anything like that on the walls.
