Sona

We started Sona out here in Konur near Mettur quite some time ago. It’s a quiet area in the Salem district and mostly everyone knows everyone around here. Our place isn't anything fancy but we get the work done. People usually stop by when they have something specific they need fixed or if they are looking for parts. The shop is right where it has always been and we haven't changed much over the years. My father used to say that if you just show up every morning and do what you say you’re going to do, people will keep coming back. We mostly deal with local folks from the surrounding villages and some from the main town area. It gets pretty hot during the summer months but we keep the doors open. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back on. It is a simple life and we like it that way. If you are driving through this part of Salem and look for Konur, you'll find us easily enough. We don't spend much time on the computer or doing fancy things, we just focus on the daily tasks. Often we have people coming in just to chat while we work. It’s part of how things are done here. There’s always some grease on my hands and a pile of things to organize, but that’s just how the day goes. We stay busy enough to keep the lights on.
