Sadha Shiv Aakhli & Building Materials

Sadha Shiv Aakhli & Building Materials is our family-run spot in Bailey Village. We are part of the Riyan Badi Tehsil in Nagaur District. The name of the shop is a bit long, but people around here just call us the building material place near the village entrance. We have a lot of stone and sand piled up outside. It’s a very hot part of the country, so we mostly work in the early morning and late evening when it's cooler. I handle the orders and my brothers deal with the loading and unloading of the trucks. We get a lot of dust from the stone cutting, so everything in the office has a thin layer of grit on it. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make sure the people in our village have what they need to build their homes. Sometimes a customer wants something we don't have, and we have to send someone to the bigger towns in Nagaur to find it. The ledger stays on the wooden desk, and we use a small calculator for the bills. It’s a simple way of living. We’ve been in Bailey for a long time, and we know everyone’s name who walks through the door. It’s just part of being in a small community. We do our best to keep things fair and keep the piles of sand ready.
