Ishu Bal Mill

Ishu Bal Mill is located right on the Main Road in Bapur. We operate out of Kumar Niwas, which is a well-known building in the Hari Nanga Bazar area. Bapur is a small place, so if you ask anyone in the V.P.O. area, they can probably point you toward our mill. It is a family-run business and we have been here for quite some time now. The mill is where we spend almost all our hours, from early morning until late in the evening. It’s loud and the floor is usually covered in a bit of dust, but that’s the reality of running a mill. We take the raw materials and process them for the local community. There is nothing polished or corporate about how we work. We use old-fashioned methods because that is what we know best. Our office is just a small room with a wooden table where we keep our ledgers. We don't use fancy computers for everything; a lot is still done by hand. The bazar outside is always lively, with people selling vegetables and kids running around. We like being right in the middle of it all. It feels like home to us. When people come by, they usually stay for a cup of tea while we finish their orders. We aren't trying to be the biggest mill around, just a reliable one for our neighbors here in Bapur who need their grain milled.
