Ramakant

My name is Ramakant, and I run things from my home village in Baggar, which is part of Merta City in the Nagaur district. I am the son of Deena Ram, and we have lived in this part of Rajasthan for as long as I can remember. This isn't a big business office with glass windows or anything like that. It is just a simple setup right here in the village. Life moves a bit slower out here than it does in the big cities, and that is just the way we like it. I handle most of the work myself, though sometimes I get a bit of help from the family when things get busy. We are easy to find if you are in Baggar; just ask anyone for Deena Ram’s son and they will point you toward our house. I spend my days mostly dealing with local matters and taking care of the work that comes my way. There is always something to do, whether it’s fixing something that broke or talking to neighbors about what is going on in the tehsil. I don't use any fancy systems or computers for much of this. I just keep track of everything in my notebooks and try to make sure I don't miss anything important. It is honest work, and it keeps us going day to day. The dust can get a bit much during the dry months, but the village stays quiet most nights, which is nice.
