Vikas Industries

Gulab Park is a decent area, but the walk from S. T. Road can be a bit long in the summer heat. Here at Vikas Industries, we are used to the sound of the district machinery and the trucks passing by. Mehsana is a place where people work hard, and we try to do the same in our little corner. The shed gets hot in the afternoons, so we usually try to get the heavy lifting done early. We have a small table where we keep the records, and it is always covered in a bit of fine grit from the industrial activity around us. It is not a place for sitting around. We are constantly checking on the machines or talking to the foreman about the next batch. The local tea shop knows exactly when we want our order, and that is the highlight of the mid-morning. We don't have a corporate lobby or a receptionist; you just walk in and find someone who is not too busy to talk. The gate squeaks every time it opens, which is a lot. We have talked about fixing it, but it is one of those things that just stays on the list forever. It is a practical setup for a practical business. We don't worry about how things look as much as we worry about if they are working. That is just the way things are done out here in Dist. Mehsana. We just do our work.
