Sadaf Tea

Sadaf Tea is out here in Village Molipur. We are in the Mahesana district. Our place is quite close to the railway station. You can hear the trains passing by throughout the day and night. It’s a familiar sound for us now. The village is quiet compared to the big cities, but there is always something going on around the station. We have a simple building where we handle our tea. It’s not a fancy place with glass windows. It’s more of a sturdy, functional space. The floors are concrete and we have high ceilings to keep it cool in the summer. Mahesana gets very hot, so we appreciate the shade. We spend our days moving bags and looking at the tea leaves. It’s physical work. We wear regular clothes and don’t worry about getting a little dust on us. There is a small yard outside where we park the delivery vehicles. We know most people in the village. It’s a small community where everyone talks to everyone. Sometimes we sit outside on plastic chairs during our break. We watch the people going to the station with their bags. It’s a simple life and we like the pace of it. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just do our work and go home when the sun goes down. It’s honest and direct.
