Out in Kamalpur, which is part of the Visnagar area in Mehsana district, we have our setup. It’s a bit away from the main city buzz, which is nice in some ways. We deal with pipes and structural steel, so there’s a lot of long, heavy stuff lying around the yard. The pin code is 384001 if you’re looking for us on a map. It’s a big space because you need room to move those long pipes without hitting anything. We spend our days loading and unloading trucks. The Gujarat sun can be pretty unforgiving when you’re handling metal all day, so we try to get the heavy work done early in the morning. We’ve got a small crew here, mostly locals from around the Mehsana area. We don't have any fancy brochures. If someone needs pipes for a project, they just come by and we see what we’ve got in the stacks. It’s a lot of counting and checking diameters. Sometimes the ground gets muddy when it rains, making it a bit of a pain to move the structural pieces, but we get through it. It’s a basic, honest business. We aren't trying to be the biggest, just trying to keep the pipes organized and get them where they need to go. It’s quiet work for the most part, just the sound of metal clanking now and then.
