Lions General Hospital

We are over on Jail Road, right near Doctor House. It’s a well-known area. Unlike the other spots, this is a general hospital, so we see all kinds of things, not just eyes. We have people coming in with all sorts of aches and pains. The building is pretty big. It’s got that specific hospital smell that you never really get used to. We have been on Jail Road for a long time. The paint is peeling a bit in the corridors, and the lights flicker sometimes, but the doctors are good at what they do. We have a lot of beds, and they are usually full. It’s a loud place. You hear carts rolling and people talking all the time. We don’t have a fancy cafeteria, just a small place to get tea. Most of the staff brings their own lunch. We work long shifts. Sometimes the waiting room gets really frustrated when there’s a delay, but we just try to talk to them and explain that things take time. We don’t have any fancy mission statements on the walls. We just have signs telling people where to go. It’s a tough job sometimes, but we’ve been here for the community for years. People know if they’re sick, they can come to Jail Road and we’ll see them. It is just a busy hospital trying to keep the neighborhood healthy one person at a time.
