Deolax Cabel

Deolax Cabel operates out of Plot 139 on the Visnagar Road in the GIDC section. It’s a pretty straightforward place where we handle different types of wires and cables. Being on Visnagar Road means there is a lot of traffic, especially with the bigger trucks coming in and out of the industrial zone. We have a big gate and a yard where we keep the heavy spools of wire. Inside the building, it smells like rubber and copper, which is something you just get used to after a couple of days. We spend a lot of time winding and cutting cables to the right lengths. It is manual work and can be a bit tiring when the weather gets hot, but we have a good group of guys here who just get on with it. The floors are usually covered with scraps of insulation and bits of wire, no matter how much we try to sweep up. We don’t have a big reception area or anything like that because most of the people who come here are drivers or technicians picking up supplies. We have a small desk where we keep the ledger and the phone. Sometimes the power goes out in the GIDC, and we have to wait it out, which is just part of being in this area. It’s an honest way to make a living, and we’ve been part of this industrial community for a while now. We just focus on the day's work.
