Shreeji Packaging

Working at Plot No. 312 in the Dediyasan Industrial Estate means getting used to the smell of cardboard and glue. Shreeji Packaging is tucked away here among a lot of other workshops. It’s not the quietest place to spend a day, but we like it well enough. The rain usually leaks a little bit near the back door when the monsoon is heavy, so we have to move the stock around quite often. My father used to say that a busy floor is a good sign, and ours is definitely busy. We have rolls of paper and stacks of sheets everywhere you look. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy brochures for us. We just pick up the phone when it rings and see what people need. Most of the guys working here have been with us for years, so we’re more like a small family than a company. We eat lunch together sitting on the plastic crates when the weather is nice. The traffic in Dediyasan can be a bit of a mess in the evenings, so we try to get the loading done early. It’s just steady work, day in and day out. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. We just make sure the orders go out on time and the machines stay oiled.
