Mr Ind(Umiya Trader)

You can find us at 319-A in the Dediyasan Industrial Estate. We go by Mr Ind, though some people around here still call us Umiya Trader. It’s a bit confusing but we don't mind either way. The space is filled with boxes and crates from top to bottom. It is a trading business, so things are always moving in and out. One day the warehouse is packed, and the next day it’s half empty. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to suppliers and checking on deliveries. The office is just a small partitioned area in the corner of the warehouse. It’s nothing special, just a place to keep the books. We have a heavy iron door that we roll up every morning at nine. The industrial estate is always humming with activity. There is a canteen nearby where we get our tiffin from. The tea there is very strong. We know most of the other traders in this block. Sometimes we lend each other tools or help out with loading if someone is short-handed. It’s a good way to work. We don't have a big marketing budget or a fancy showroom. We just show the samples to whoever comes by. It’s a practical way to run things. We’ve been at 319-A for a long time now and we know every corner of this building. We just keep trading and moving boxes every day.
