Modern Packaging

We are over at Plot No 155 in the Dediyasan Industrial Estate. If you come by, you’ll see we have quite a lot of cardboard and plastic wrap sitting around. Packaging is one of those jobs where things can get messy pretty fast if you aren't careful. We started out with just a couple of machines and now we have a few more squeezed into the workshop. It gets really loud when everything is running at the same time, so we usually have to shout to hear each other over the hum. The floor is concrete and stays cool even when it’s boiling outside, which is nice. We aren't a big corporation, just a local outfit trying to keep up with the local demand for boxes and wrapping materials. Most of us live nearby and walk or bike to work every morning. The industrial estate is always full of activity, with people moving stuff back and forth all day. We spend a lot of our time measuring things out and making sure the cuts are right. Sometimes the material doesn't arrive on time and we have to shuffle the schedule around, but that’s just part of the routine. We don’t have a website or anything like that, we just rely on people knowing where we are. It’s a basic setup but it works for what we need to do.
