Maruti Poteries Pvt. Ltd. is located out at Plot No 116 in the Dediyasan Industrial Estate. If you’ve ever walked through an industrial area, you know what it’s like. Lots of movement, trucks, and the smell of earth and heat. We work with clay and ceramics, so things can get a little messy around the shop floor. There’s always dust on the windows and someone is usually moving a pallet around. We’ve been operating from this spot for a good while, and most of the staff have been here through many seasons. It’s not a high-tech place. We rely a lot on the machines we have and the hands that operate them. Making pottery on a larger scale like this takes patience because you can’t rush the drying or the firing. Sometimes the kilns act up or the weather is too humid, and we have to adjust. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting heavy bags and moving finished pieces carefully so they don’t crack. We don't have a big fancy showroom; it’s mostly just the production area and a small space for the books. People come to us when they need specific ceramic items for their own businesses. We just stick to what we know, which is making things out of clay. It’s a steady life, and we like being part of the Dediyasan community.
