About Hindustan Irrigation – Agriculture & Farming in Mehsana
Down in Mehsana, specifically at GIDC Estate in Dediyasan, we’ve got our shed set up for Hindustan Irrigation. Being at Plot 228 means we’re right in the middle of where things happen. We deal with pipes, pumps, and all that stuff farmers and builders need to move water around. It’s important work because water is everything around here. We’ve seen the seasons change many times from this office. Most of our days are spent checking inventory or talking to people who come in looking for a specific part. We don't have a receptionist or a big lobby. Usually, you just walk in and find one of us near the back. The floors are concrete and there's always a bit of grease or dirt around because that's just how it is when you're moving heavy metal and plastic equipment. We try to keep things simple. If a pump breaks, we try to help find the right fix. We know the roads around Mehsana-2 like the back of our hands. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s steady. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to wait it out, but that’s just life in the estate. We’re just a bunch of guys who understand how irrigation works and we’re happy to stay busy. We've got a lot of spare parts tucked away in the corners too. If you need a specific valve or a joint, there is a good chance we can dig it out from under a pile of boxes.
