You can find Himalya Engineering Co at Plot No 38 in the Dediyasan Industrial Estate. It’s a very straightforward engineering shop. We don’t have any fancy glass windows or air-conditioned lobbies for guests. It’s just a solid workshop floor with a few lathes and milling machines that have seen better days. We spend our time working on different parts that people bring in or order. Sometimes it’s repair work, other times it’s making something entirely from scratch. The air usually smells like grease and cut metal. That’s just the way an engineering place is supposed to be. We aren’t a massive corporation, just a local outfit with a handful of skilled hands. We’ve had the same sign out front for years and it’s gotten a bit faded now. The guys here aren't much for small talk when they’re in the middle of working. They just put their heads down and get the measurements right. Dediyasan is a busy area, and we fit right in with the rest of the workshops. Sometimes we have to stay late if a particular job is giving us some trouble. We don't mind the extra hours if it means the job gets finished correctly. We just want to make sure the parts we send out are built the right way. It’s not always easy work, and it can be quite tiring, but it’s what we know how to do. We just keep our tools sharp and our eyes on the task.
