Our place is at Plot No 35 in the Dediyasan Industrial Estate. It’s one of those spots where you can hear the neighboring units working from a mile away. We have been in this shed for quite some time now. The roof leaks a tiny bit when it rains really hard, but we’ve got buckets for that. It’s not the most modern setup you’ll see, but the machines still run fine if you know how to talk to them. We spend most of our time out on the floor rather than in the little office nook. There’s always a layer of dust on everything, no matter how much we sweep. Dediyasan is a tough area but we like being here because everything we need is close by. The tea stall at the corner is where we usually end up talking about the day’s problems. We don’t spend money on fancy signs or anything. Just a plain gate and the work we do inside. Sometimes things get backed up, but we just stay a bit later to get it sorted. It’s just a bunch of regular people working hard. We don't really have a big story to tell. We started out small and we’re still here, which I guess is something. The trucks come by in the afternoon and that’s usually our busiest time. We just keep moving and getting things ready for the next day.
