Gayarti Minerals

If you head over to Mehsana-2 Gidc Estate, specifically to Dediyasan, you’ll find us at Plot or Shed No. 35. Gayarti Minerals is where we process various rocks and minerals. It’s a dusty job, there is no way around that. You leave at the end of the shift with a layer of white or grey powder on your boots. The machines we use for crushing and grinding are loud and they vibrate the whole floor. We’ve been at this spot in Mehsana for a while now. The shed is big enough for our needs, but we’re always shuffling bags around to make room for new arrivals. The yard outside usually has piles of raw material waiting to be brought inside. It’s not a place for clean clothes. We have a small corner where we keep our logbooks and a kettle for making tea. The neighbors in the Gidc are mostly other small factories, so there’s a constant sound of work all around. We don't spend money on fancy paint for the walls; we just make sure the grinders are running. Sometimes a machine breaks down and we have to spend half the day with a wrench trying to get it going again. That’s just part of life at Gayarti Minerals. We get the minerals ready and send them off.
