Baba Drug House

Our shop is in the basement of Apollo Enclave, specifically at number 13. We are right opposite the Simandhar Jain temple on the highway road. Being in the basement means it stays a bit cooler down here during the summer, which is nice when it’s boiling outside. But you can always hear the sound of the traffic from the highway above us. It’s like a constant hum in the background. We have the temple right across, so on festival days, the whole area gets very crowded with people coming to pray. We have to walk up and down the stairs a lot because that’s the only way in or out. The space is filled with shelves from floor to ceiling. We try to keep everything organized, but when a big shipment comes in, things can look a bit messy for a day or two. We spend our time checking expiry dates and making sure the right items go out. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting boxes and counting things. We have a small desk near the back where we handle all the papers. The lighting is all fluorescent tubes, so it feels very much like a warehouse space. We’ve been in Apollo Enclave for a good while now and know the security guards and the other shop owners pretty well. It's just a regular basement business where we work hard and keep things moving.
