We are the team at Cement Manufacturing Co Ltd Meghalaya. Our main spot is out in Lumshnong. If you know the area, you know it is quite a journey to get up here, but the limestone around these parts is what keeps us going. It is a bit different working in the hills compared to the big cities. The weather can be unpredictable and the roads are often winding and steep. We have our setup right there in Lumshnong where the air smells like rain and stone. We aren't a huge office with lots of departments. We are mostly just the crew that makes sure the cement gets produced and sent out to where it's needed. It's a quiet place except for the sound of the plant. A lot of the local people work with us, and we have become a fixture of the community over the years. We don't bother with fancy brochures or expensive marketing. Our work speaks for itself when the trucks leave the gates. Sometimes things move a bit slower when the monsoon hits, but we manage to keep the operations running one way or another. It’s a honest living out here in the greenery of Meghalaya. We just focus on the manufacturing and try to keep our neighbors happy. Lumshnong is a small place, so everybody knows who we are and what we do anyway, so we don't need to shout about it to the whole world.
