Yash General Store

We have been here at Plot No. 11 in Kotla Bazar for a long time now. It’s a busy spot right near Maruti Mandir, so people usually stop by while they are out for prayers or doing their daily rounds. We keep the usual things you'd expect in a general store. Yash General Store started out small, and mostly it is just about getting through the day and making sure the shelves aren't empty when someone comes in looking for something specific. Meerut is a noisy place, and Kotla Bazar is right in the thick of it. We open up early and stay open until things quiet down in the evening. It is not a big fancy place, just a regular shop where you can find what you need without much fuss. Sometimes the stock takes a bit to arrive, but we try to manage. Neighbors come in to chat as much as they do to buy stuff. Dealing with the heat in the summer can be a bit much, but that is just how it is. We know most of the people who walk through the door by their first names. It’s a lot of work keeping track of everything, from soaps to snacks and little household bits. We just stay busy and keep the lights on for the folks around here. If you are walking past the temple, you will see us there. It's a simple setup. We don't have those big computer systems, just a notebook and some patience.
