We are based out of 190, Saket. The Wood People is the name on the door, and it’s been that way for a while. Our workshop is usually smelling like sawdust and whatever we are working on that day. It’s a messy place, to be honest. Wood shavings everywhere and tools sitting on every available surface. But that’s how we like it. We aren't the type of people to sit in a clean office all day. If you come to Saket to find us, you’ll probably hear the saws before you see the sign. It’s just a group of us who enjoy working with our hands. We don't have any big speeches about what we do. We just take the wood and make things out of it. Sometimes the projects are big, sometimes they are small. We’ve got some old machines that make a lot of noise, but they still work better than the new stuff. It can get pretty hot in the summer, but the doors stay open. People from around the neighborhood stop by to see what’s being built. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a fancy showroom. What you see is what you get. Just a bunch of woodworkers at 190 Saket trying to do a decent job and get home on time. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know how to do.
