Swati Garments

Our little place is located at Shop no 670/6, right across from Kailash Dairy here in Meerut. Most people use the dairy as a landmark when they’re trying to find us, which helps because this street can get a bit confusing if you aren’t from around here. We’ve been running Swati Garments for some time now, focusing on basic clothing items that families in the neighborhood need. It’s a modest setup, nothing like those big malls you see in the bigger cities. We mostly just focus on having enough stock so that when someone comes in looking for something specific, we actually have it on the shelf. The days usually start slow, then pick up in the afternoon when people are out doing their errands. It can get a bit dusty with all the road work and traffic nearby, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the glass and keeping the clothes neat. We don’t really do big advertisements or anything. Most of the people who come in are just locals who live nearby or someone who saw us while getting their milk from across the way. It’s a simple life running a shop in Meerut. We know our regulars by name, and we know what they usually like. It isn't about being the biggest shop, just about being here and keeping the doors open every day for the community.
