Shiva Car Paints

Down in Phoolbagh Colony, right across from the Manohar Nath Mandir in Surajkund, you’ll find our shop. Shiva Car Paints has been here at number 271 for a while. It’s easy to find because of the temple nearby. The shop is usually full of the smell of thinners and paint. We have rows and rows of tins on the shelves, all different colors and sizes. Some are for cars, some are for bikes, and sometimes people bring in random metal bits to get painted up. It’s a hands-on job. We spend a lot of time mixing colors by hand to get them just right for the customers. The floor is covered in spots of paint from over the years, which is just how a paint shop should look. We don't have a big sales team or marketing people. Usually, it's just me and a couple of helpers who know the trade. We get a lot of regulars from the garages nearby. They know we don't sugarcoat things. If a color is going to be hard to match, we’ll tell you that straight away. The sunlight comes into the shop in the afternoon and hits all the cans, making it quite bright. We keep the doors open mostly to let the fumes out and talk to passersby. It’s a simple setup. No fancy computers for color matching, just our eyes and a lot of years of experience. People trust us because we’ve been here so long.
