Over here at 182 Abu Lane, things stay pretty loud and busy. Snip Unisex Beauty Salon Spa & Tattoo Studio is located inside Jai Plaza, which is right near the Fauraha Chowk in Meerut. You can hear the horns honking from the circle all day. We do a mix of things here, from haircuts to tattoos. The tattoo needles have a specific humming sound that you get used to after a while. Most of the people who come in are younger, maybe looking for a new look or a small bit of ink on their arm. We have the shop set up so there is enough room to move around, even when we have three or four people waiting. The light inside Jai Plaza can be a bit dim in the hallways, but we have bright lights in the studio so we can see what we are doing. Sometimes we grab a snack from the vendors near the chowk when we get a gap in appointments. It is a lot of standing on our feet, but we like the work. People often stop by just to ask about prices or to see the tattoo designs we have drawn. It is a plain shop with white walls and some mirrors, nothing that looks too expensive or polished. We just focus on the job and try to make sure everyone leaves looking better than they did when they walked in.
