Ma Handloom

Ma Handloom is a small place located at No. 42 South Islamabad. We have been working with threads and looms for quite some time now. The shop isn't very big, but we keep busy with the orders that come in from the neighbors and some people further out. It gets a bit dusty with all the cotton flying around, but that is just how it is when you work with fabric every day. Most mornings start with checking the looms and making sure the colors are right for the next batch of cloth. South Islamabad is a busy area, and there is always noise outside the door, but once you step inside, the sound of the machines takes over. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that. People just walk in, look at what we have finished, and tell us what they need. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to wait a bit, but we get the work done eventually. It is hard work on the hands and back, sitting there for hours, but it’s what we know how to do. The address is easy to find if you know the landmark, just look for number 42. We don’t spend much time on the computer or making ads. Most of our customers know us by word of mouth. If someone needs a particular weave or a specific kind of handloom cloth, they usually find their way to our door.
