Shree Bala Ji General Store

Shree Bala Ji General Store is right here near Kacheripul on PL Sharma Road. It’s a busy part of Meerut, so there is always something going on outside our door. I started this place a while back. We stock mostly everything a house needs, from basic grains to cleaning stuff. The shop isn’t huge, but it’s packed. Sometimes it feels a bit crowded when four or five people come in at once, but we manage. My son helps out in the afternoons when he is not busy. We get a lot of regulars who live nearby and they just shout out what they want. It saves time. The traffic near Kacheripul can be a real headache, especially in the evenings, but it brings people in. We don't really do anything fancy with decorations or big signs. Just a plain board outside. People know us by now. It is funny how you get used to the noise of the city after a while. We keep the doors open all day. If the electricity goes out, we just use the battery light and keep going. It’s just a normal day-to-day life running a store in Meerut. We try to keep things fresh, like the bread and eggs. You learn what people like after a few years. It’s just us here, doing our bit for the neighborhood. There is usually a bit of a wait during the evening rush, but no one seems to mind much. We just keep moving and serving the city.
