Shorya General Store

Our shop is over at Shop No 27 in Ganga Nagar, right in the heart of Meerut. Being right in front of IIMT means we see a lot of students and young people walking around all day long. It's a 250001 area code for those who keep track of that stuff. The store isn't very big, but we try to keep what people need for their day-to-day life. Meerut can be a bit loud sometimes with all the vehicles and the general buzz of the city, but you get used to it after a while. Most of the time, I am just sitting behind the counter watching the world go by through the open front. We see the same faces every morning when they head to the college or go to work. It’s nice knowing the regulars by their first names and what they usually buy without them even asking. Shorya General Store is just a local spot for the community here in Ganga Nagar. We don’t do any fancy advertising or anything like that. People just know we are here across from the institute. If you are walking down that road, you can't really miss us. It is a simple life, opening up in the morning and closing when it gets dark. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit in the breeze until it comes back. That is just how it is here.
