Shivank Kirana Store

If you go to Jagriti Vihar in Meerut, you will find us at Shop Number 54/2. We are very close to Sector 2 in the main market area. It’s a lively place to be. There is always someone shouting or a bike zooming past. I started this kirana store because I wanted to stay close to my home. We sell all the kitchen basics. You know, things like pulses, spices, and tea leaves. The shop is tucked into the market, so it stays cool even when it’s hot outside. I keep a few chairs outside for friends to sit on. Sometimes we talk about the local news while I weigh out the sugar or flour. Meerut can be a bit chaotic but the market has its own rhythm. I open the shop around eight and stay until the sun goes down. Most of our customers are neighbors who have lived here for years. We know their names and what they usually buy. The space is a bit cramped because we have so many bags of rice and flour stacked up. But we manage. It’s not a supermarket, just a local shop where you can get what you need without a fuss. We don't have a big staff, just us family members taking turns. It keeps us busy and connected to the people around Jagriti Vihar.
