Loveena Dresses

We are tucked away at No. 7/8 in Shastri Nagar, right across from the New Awasvikas Office. Loveena Dresses is a place where there’s always the sound of sewing machines running. We spend a lot of time surrounded by piles of fabric and thread. It’s a bit cramped in here because we have so many rolls of cloth and different patterns hanging on the walls. We mostly make clothes for women and kids in the neighborhood. People come in with a picture or an old dress they like and ask us to make something similar. It’s a lot of measuring and cutting. Sometimes the machines act up or we run out of a specific color of thread, and someone has to run out to the market to find it. We aren't a big boutique with a fancy window display. It’s more of a workspace where we get things done. The lighting isn't the best, but we have some good lamps over the worktables. Dealing with customers can be tricky when they aren't sure what they want, but we usually figure it out after a few tries. It’s honest work, and it’s nice to see someone walk out with a new outfit that fits them just right. We’ve been here in Shastri Nagar for a while and the locals know us. Most days, we are just trying to keep up with the pile of orders sitting on the counter.
