If you are walking through the Central Market in Shastri Nagar, you will find Sharma General Store at Shop N. 660/6. We are pretty close to Labh Sons, which is a place most people in Meerut know well. Being in a busy market like this means there is always some noise from the street or people arguing over parking outside. Our shop is filled with all kinds of household goods and spices. It gets a bit chaotic in the evenings when everyone is trying to finish their shopping before heading home. I spend a lot of time writing down what we need in a messy notebook so I do not forget to order it. The walls are a bit old, but we are usually too busy to think about painting. We just focus on getting people what they need from the shelves. Sometimes we have to use a tall ladder to reach the items kept way up high, which can be a bit of a workout. It is hard work standing on your feet all day, but it is what we have been doing for a long time now.
