Sharma General Store

Sharma General Store has been sitting here on Delhi Road for quite a bit. Being near the Jain Mandir means we see a lot of people passing by all day. It’s a busy stretch of road in Meerut. We mostly stock stuff people use at home every day like snacks, tea, and cleaning things. The shop is at number 234 and it’s easy to find if you’re looking for the temple. It gets dusty with all the traffic outside but we try to keep things clean enough. My family helps out when it gets crowded in the afternoons. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit there with the door open for some light. It’s not a big fancy store but we have the basics. We know the neighbors pretty well since they’ve been coming here for years. Buying stock from the main market takes a lot of time every week. We just want to make sure the locals can get what they need without going too far. It's a lot of manual work, lifting crates and counting change. We don't have a website or anything like that. Just the physical shop on Delhi Road. If someone’s short a few rupees we usually let it slide until next time. That's just how it goes in a place like this. We've been here long enough that people just know us by sight. It's nothing special, just a regular store for the community.
