Sharma Confectioners General Store

Our shop is located at B-50 on Roorkee Road in Meerut. Specifically, we are in Phase I of Pallavpuram. Being a confectioners and general store means we see a lot of different people. Some come for the daily milk and bread, while others stop by for sweets or snacks. Roorkee Road has a lot of traffic, so there’s always a bit of noise from the trucks and cars passing by. Inside the store, it's a bit quieter. We have glass jars filled with different treats and shelves with all the usual household goods. Pallavpuram is a nice area, and we’ve been here long enough to know most of the people who walk through the door. I usually start the day by cleaning the glass counters and checking what needs to be restocked. The weather in Meerut can be quite extreme, so we are always dealing with the heat or the cold. It’s just me and a couple of others helping out. We don’t have a big corporate office; everything happens right here at B-50. Sometimes the bread delivery is late, and we have to tell the morning regulars to come back in an hour. It is a simple life of selling things and talking to neighbors. We don’t use any fancy marketing, just the sign outside and the products on the shelf. It’s a basic shop for basic needs and we stay here until the night.
