Sevaram Love Dev Kirana Store

Our shop is right on Sardhana Road in Kanker Khera, just opposite the Shanidev Mandir. If you know Meerut, you know how busy this stretch gets, especially on Saturdays when people visit the temple. Sevaram Love Dev Kirana Store has been around for some time, and we mostly deal with the families living nearby. We have the usual kirana items like rice, oils, and spices. The shop isn't very large, so we have to stack the sacks of flour carefully in the corner so people have space to stand. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, but we keep the fan going. Sometimes the temple bells are quite loud, which is just part of the atmosphere here. We don't do anything special, just keep the stock ready for whenever someone needs a kilo of salt or some washing powder. It’s a lot of work carrying the heavy bags from the supplier trucks, but that’s the job. We try to remember what our regulars usually buy so we can have it ready. The kids from the neighborhood often stop by for a single toffee or a small pack of chips on their way home. It’s a simple life running a kirana store in Meerut. We open up early and stay until the evening rush is over. Usually, we are counting the stock or cleaning the jars during the quiet hours in the middle of the day.
