Scratch Fashion

Vardhman Plaza is where you can find us. We are at Shop no 2. It’s a decent building, but like everything in Meerut, it’s got its quirks. Scratch Fashion is what we call the place. We’ve been here for a couple of years now. Before this, we were working for someone else. Now we finally have our own spot. It’s not very big, but it’s ours. We have a few racks and a small changing area behind a curtain. It’s basic, really. We don't have air conditioning, just a couple of wall fans that stay on all day long. The plaza gets a lot of foot traffic in the evenings when the sun goes down. That’s when we are busiest. During the day, it’s mostly just us chatting with the other shop owners nearby. We help each other out if someone needs change or a cup of tea. We source our clothes from different places. It’s a lot of traveling and picking things out by hand. We look for stuff that people around here would actually want to wear. Nothing too over the top or fancy. We keep the prices fair because we know our customers. They are regular working people. We don't have a computer system. Everything is written down in a notebook. It’s old fashioned but it works. We just want to keep the shop running. It’s a simple living for us and we enjoy the daily routine.
