If you look for us near the Lakshmi Dharm Kanta on Sardhna Road, you’ll find our spot in Ganpati Vihar. It’s a busy area, especially with all the heavy trucks lining up to get weighed at the Kanta right next door. The noise of the engines is something we just live with now. At Mahalaxmi Traders, we spend a lot of time checking lists and making sure the inventory is where it should be. The office is small and tucked away in the corner of the warehouse. It’s often a bit messy with ledgers and empty chai cups scattered around. We get a lot of people stopping by just because they’re passing through Ganpati Vihar on their way somewhere else. Sardhna Road can be a real pain during peak hours, but that’s just how the city is these days. We don't really do anything fancy here. Most of the day is just spent talking to drivers and making sure the loading happens correctly. My shoes are always a bit dusty from the yard, and the fan in the office makes a weird clicking sound that I keep meaning to fix. It’s a simple business, really. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the people on this stretch of road by sight. We just keep our heads down and handle whatever comes through the gate. It’s steady work and it keeps us busy from morning till late evening.
