Sardarji Coverhouse

You can find us at Sardarji Coverhouse, at Shop No 130 on the first floor of Suriya Plaza. It is right by the Old Happur Stand, which is usually a very busy and loud area. You have to walk up the concrete stairs and turn left past the other shops to find us. The plaza is always full of people, and there is a lot of shouting and noise from the bus stand right across the way. We have got covers for almost everything piled up on the metal shelves. It is a bit of a squeeze inside the shop because we try to keep so much stock on hand for the customers. Sometimes it takes us a minute to find exactly what someone is looking for in the back piles. We started this shop a long time ago. My father used to run the whole thing, and now I am here most days doing the same. It is a lot of standing around and talking to people who are just passing through the plaza on their way somewhere else. The floor is a bit worn out from all the walking, and the ceiling fan wobbles a little when it is on high. We do not have any air conditioning, just the breeze from the open window. It is a very basic setup, but it gets the job done for the people in this neighborhood. We just sell things.
